Experimental Analysis of Local Condensation Heat Transfer Characteristics of CF3I Inside a Plate Heat Exchanger

Due to its low global warming potential (GWP) and good environmental properties, CF3I can be a suitable component of refrigerant mixtures in the field refrigeration air conditioning. In this work, local condensation heat transfer characteristics were experimentally investigated plate exchanger (PHE). The experiments carried out under conditions vapor qualities from 1.0 0.0, at saturation temperatures 25–30 °C, mass fluxes 20–50 kg/m2s, 10.4–13.7 kW/m2. Local coefficients found vary both horizontal vertical directions showing similar trends all fluxes. addition, flux wall temperature distribution as function distance inlet outlet channel explored detail. comparison experimental data with that R1234yf same test facility showed comparable quality 20 kg/m2s. However, exhibited coefficient about 1.5 times higher 50 newly developed correlation predicts well obtained for within ±30%.
